It's likely that, if you are a licensed motor vehicle operator, you either receive a car insurance statement or someone else pays on your behalf. I'm also betting that your costs of coverage haven't dropped in recent months. In fact, just the opposite is true, right? As with many other things, car policy rates have skyrocketed, particularly in states with an already high cost of living, like Michigan and Florida.
With that in mind, many insured people are determined to find a creative method - any method - to reduce the rates of their annual vehicle premium. You may have tried to call insurance agents in your area to ask for premium quotes from the insurers they write for. The problem with that approach is calling all those agents takes a great deal of time, due to the fact that every agent you call needs to gather all of your personal info prior to telling you a premium. Altogether, you could easily wind up spending a large number of hours talking to insurance agents, and save little cash.
Plainly, if placing a call to them isn't going to accomplish anything, then driving around to those same offices won't have any better results. After all, that would take lot's of time, and accomplish nothing more. You could quickly fritter away an entire afternoon, not to mention quite a bit of petrol, and wind up saving a negligible amount on your yearly coverage rates.
One other simpler approach to reducing your auto policy is contacting one of the huge companies that bills itself as having low rates, such as Geico or Progressive. People have been known to save a pile of loot using that method.
The big issue with going that route, however, is that since you're just dealing with only one insurer you really can't be certain that you have truly found the cheapest premium, can you? The truth is, there's a lot of firms around, each of which might offer you a progressively cheaper quote. Could you ever be certain, unless you phoned every single one, which leaves you back at square one, right?
What's the answer, then? Thankfully, an answer is out there, and it is both simple and convenient. In addition, you can be sure, in about 8 minutes, that you are getting the cheapest rates out there. This is what the web has given us. Wouldn't you like to hear more?
Normally, the submission uses under eight minutes. Rate reductions could range between a few hundred to several hundred dollars, but in addition your own reduction will be based on your driver's background and other intangibles. Either way, it can add up to a very substantial amount.
Under those circumstances, why not visit the site, and cut your insurance bill?

As a 20 year insurance agent, I’ll be happy to share some advice. Getting a quote over the net is convenient and quick, but often times VERY inaccurate. The quote is often given without actually running your MVR (motor vehicle report) because that costs the company money and you haven’t paid any yet. Most all companies will run your consumer report (which credit is only one small factor of) and it won’t be run during the quoting process, it will be run after you purchase. This is the reason so many people are dissatisfied at their next renewal or shortly after their purchase when the real bill comes. Now, let’s discuss what you’re actually asking. You want prices, but didn’t mention anything about coverage. Before you buy based on premiums, please research what you are buying and whom you’re buying it from. What happens at claim time? Who will offer you the most for your totalled vehicle? How will you be treated? Is it a toll-free phone number that will be helping you in your time of need or a real person whom you can see? Please contact an agent and a company that is highly rated for their customer service and claim payment ability.

Good way to get multiple car insurance quotes?
We’re looking at getting a car but not sure which one yet. A consideration is the insurance costs, but I don’t want to ring up an insurer and give half a dozen car makes to them to get a quote, and besides we won’t know the reg or even the age of the car yet.
Is there some way I can make a comparrison without all the hassle? Say some site where it says the average insurance for an age group?

Well…if you want hassle-free then an agent is the best bet. They do all the work and all you have to do is give them the car information.

whats the best way to check multiple car insurance quotes at once?

The broker probably had a proprietary website that he pays for to do comparisons.
There is no ONE insurance company that is right for everyone – everyone is rated individually – and all companies have different “likes and dis-likes”, different credit tiers, different business models, and many other factors that can vary your rate – and a QUOTE is ONLY a quote until the policy is issued.
Typically, insurance rates will vary from State to State and can even vary by ZIPCODE! It also will depend on the type of car/truck, coverages, limits of liability, and driving record. Some companies run credit scores and MOST run a motor vehicle report and CLUE (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) report to see about undisclosed accident involvement.
The best thing to do is call a LOCAL independent agent or broker. Don’t go across town, or to some other city – look for someone CLOSE. Just look in the phone book for the PIA or Big I (Trusted Choice) logos and you will find a professional licensed agent that will be able to help you solve your insurance problems, and give you rate comparisons of several different companies.
An independent insurance agent will normally have a dozen different companies and if he cannot help you, he should be networked with other local agents that can.
In my agency, we have companies that do NOT run a credit score and welcome drivers with “less than perfect” driving records and specialize in youthful operators!
Most of the replies on this site say “go to this on-line carrier or that on-line carrier or that 1-800 number” but I’m sure that when you do, you will find some impersonal computer user with a script to work from and you won’t be able to talk with the same person every time you have a problem!
Good luck, drive RESPONSIBLY and I hope this helps!
